Scanning the Specific Channel Preferentially (Priority Scan)

Priority Scan can be used to sequentially scan the high priority channels regardless of the scan configuration for each
channel or GID.
The transceiver monitors a Priority Channel using Lookback even if the transceiver is receiving on a Normal Channel using
Single Scan, Multi Scan, or List Scan if Priority Channel is configured.
The transceiver scans the Priority Channel in the following cases:
If there is no Priority Channel in the selected zone during the Single Scan
If the Priority Channel is in a different zone than a zone targeted to be scanned during the Multi Scan
If no Priority Channel is included in the zones configured in the Scan List Table during the List Scan
For a Single Scan, Multi Scan and List Scan, the transceiver scans the Priority Channels in the intervals registered for
Lookback Time A and Lookback Time B. (Refer to
Priority Channel 1 and Priority Channel 2 can be configured using KPG-111D/ DN. Priority Scan type can be configured for
each Priority Channel as below.
Configuration
Fixed
The channel configured for Priority 1 Zone-Channel or Priority 2 Zone-Channel is used as the Priority Channel.
Selected
The selected channel is used as a Priority Channel.
The channel selected by a user is used as a Priority Channel.
Operator
Pressing the Priority-channel Select key causes the transceiver to enter Priority-channel Select Mode.
Selectable
Or, press the Menu key to enter Menu Mode and then select "Priority-channel Select" to enter Priority-channel
Select Mode.
Note
• The Group ID in an LTR Trunking system and NXDN Trunking system cannot be configured as a Priority Channel.
• While a scan is paused in the transceiver in an LTR Trunking system and NXDN Trunking system, the transceiver does not monitor the
Priority Channel by Lookback. (Refer to
