Audio Filter

Audio Filter is the function to switch an audio characteristic of the received audio.
The received audio may sound differently depending on the effects of an usage environment of the transceiver and a
microphone equipped with the transceiver, and optional devices such as a speaker. Also, the received audio may sound
differently depending on whether to use a speaker or headphones to play the received audio. An audio characteristic of the
received audio can be switched according to user convenience.
Audio Filter
The filter is used for processing an audio signal using DSP. The filter is less affected by various usage

environments and external connector devices such as an external microphone and speaker.
The filter has the broader audio characteristic than that of Filter 1. This filter is effective for a user to hear
Filter 2
conversations clearly because a broad range of sounds from low frequency to high frequency is emitted.
The filter has the broader audio characteristic than that of Filter 1 and emphasizes the middle range of sound

frequencies. This filter is effective for a user to easily distinguish who is speaking into the microphone.

Noise Suppressor

Noise Suppressor is the function to transmit a signal by reducing the background noise when the transceiver transmits an
NXDN digital signal.
If this function is enabled, the transceiver transmits a signal by reducing the background noise so that the noise of the
received audio will be less in the receiving transceiver. However, a part of audio component may be omitted, so that an
inward received audio will sound. In this case, configuring this function disabled allows the transceiver to transmit an audio
signal which is similar to an analog signal; therefore the received audio may be heard clearly in the receiving transceiver.
Note
The transceiver enters TX Noise Suppressor Mode by a user pressing the Menu key to enter Menu Mode and then selecting "TX
Noise Suppressor". In TX Noise Suppressor Mode, the configuration for Noise Suppressor can be changed.
