Use these procedures to refit the mechanical stop pin.

Action
Remove the stop pin by sliding it down, out
off its hole and moving it slightly forwards.
Action
Make sure that axis-1 is in the position
where it will be possible to replace the
mechanical stop pin.
If not, turn on the power, use caution and
jog axis-1 to that position.
Clean the stop pin, as well as the hole for
it.
